Each kit contains parts for 10 tree tap assemblies. Included in each 10 tap kit: 10 each-EZ Sap Sack Holders. These are CNC machined from sch. 40 solid wall 2” PVC water pipe. 10 each- Vinyl caps for the Sack Holders. These keep out debris and precipitation. 10 each- Heavy weight double bottom seal 5 blue mil Sap Sacks. These will hold 3 gallons of sap. 10 each- Dominion & Grimm 5/16" nylon taps. Nylon is an exceptionally strong plastic that retains it strength in low temperatures and deforms without breaking. These taps can be boiled or steam sterilized at temperature up to 260 F. Use only tap or distilled water for sterilization. 20 each- Cable Ties (Bag Clamps) We supply 120 lb industrial strength ties produced from 100% virgin nylon resin. Cheaper ties that contain reground resin can become brittle and snap in cold dry weather. 1 each- 5/16" high speed steel drill bit. 1 each- Quick Start Guide to Maple Tapping Booklet. Please note the kit does NOT include other necessary tools. You will need a cordless drill to install the taps into your trees, and end cutters to trim the cable ties.

• This easy to use Maple Tapping kit uses durable PVC sap sack holders along with tough nylon tree taps (spiles). The kit includes a 5/16" high speed steel drill bit and our "Quick Start Guide to Maple Tapping and Syrup Making" booklet.
• This type of sack holder is completely enclosed except for the keyhole that slips over the tap.
• This kit uses the double cable tie (bag tie) method for a cleaner appearance, and to reduce the chance a bag could slip off the hanger.
• The slot in the holder is a modified keyhole shape that keeps the bag securely attached to the tree, but will release when lifted and rotated.
