- KEEP YOUR GROW GOING: Our Boomr Bag Monotub Refill Kit includes everything you need for a successful monotub grow. (All that's required is a spore syringe or liquid culture!) The manure-based sterile substrates, injection port bag, and coco coir provide mediums for colonization, incubation, and growth. We've also included self-adhesive filters, designed to keep out foreign spores and other contaminants while maintaining proper humidity, airflow, and gas exchange.
- (3) Boomr Bag Sterile Manure Substrate (5 lbs each): Boomr Bag is a sterile manure-based bulk mushroom substrate formulated by mycologists to increase the yield of your grow. It features a proprietary blend of composted horse manure, coco coir, and several quality substrate supplements (although we keep the exact blend a secret!) Over several years, it has been perfected for dung-loving mushroom species and is widely-trusted by mushroom growers. Each bag weighs 5 pounds. (Note: Bags are hydrated to field capacity.)
- (1) Organic Sterilized Grain Bag with Injection Port (3 lbs): Each spawn bag contains our proprietary grain blend featuring hydrated, nutrient-rich, organic millet and wheat berries. Bags also include a self-healing injection port for use with a spore or culture syringe plus a 0.2 micron filter patch to block airborne contaminants while providing even gas exchange. (Note: Color of injection port may vary.)
- (2) Sheets of 2" self-adhesive filters: These high airflow filters give your substrate and mycelium fresh air while maintaining high humidity levels. Manufactured with a strong 3M adhesive backing, these spun-bonded fiber filters are made from 100% recycled filter material and sized to fit over 2" holes.
- (1) Myco Coco compressed coco coir (3.4L): Triple-washed and buffered to adjust pH and nutrient levels, Myco Coco creates the ideal air-to-water ratio, making it ideal for cultivating gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. Myco Coco is made from coconut husks, is biodegradable, and is a 100% renewable resource.
- (1) Roll of 1/2" black micropore tape (10 yards): This latex-free, hypoallergenic paper micropore tape adheres well and leaves minimal adhesive residue upon removal. It's designed to keep humidity in and allow for proper air exchange, and its black color will make it nearly invisible to the eye one applied. Each roll measures 10 yards. (Use on small holes around the base of the monotub.)
- Spawn to bulk ratio: We recommended mixing 1 colonized grain spawn bag with 2-3 Boomr Bags. (Higher inoculation rates may improve your success.)
- IMPORTANT: Coco coir should only be added once monotub is fully colonized and pins begin to form. Only a thin layer of coco coir (approx. 1/2 inch) is necessary.
